The event in Madrid, organized on January 26, brought together participants from various associations dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, alongside members from the Spanish Association of Therapeutic and Social Gardening and Horticulture (AEHJST). Through presentations by Karin and Ariana, attendees gained insights into the Healing Gardener project and the principles of therapeutic gardening. The event sparked discussions on introducing green care initiatives and raised awareness about the holistic benefits of therapeutic gardening. Associations like AMPA expressed interest in implementing Healing Gardener’s guidelines, while Apsuria explored possibilities of introducing therapeutic gardens for their beneficiaries. Overall, the event facilitated collaboration and networking, fostering meaningful discussions on enhancing the well-being of individuals with disabilities through therapeutic gardening initiatives.
